ON LINE RENEWAL GUIDANCE DOCUMENTATION
The following guidelines have been produced to help members who are using the Beacon online renewals system for the first time.
TO RETURN TO THE RENEWAL PAGE PRESS ON THE LINK AT THE BOTTEM OF THIS PAGE
When you press the Agree button to be transferred to renewal page you will be taken to the Please identify yourself page.
For security purposes members need to type in their Membership number, Forename, Surname, Post Code and email address then press Confirm Identity.
After pressing Confirm Identity you will be taken to the Select an option page. At present there is only one option available Renew your membership. As we add additional features to Beacon, Members will be able to access information on Group activities, an on-line programme of events, there will be additional help for our Group leaders and members will also be able to amend or update the information we hold on them. These additional features are planned for spring 2017
Pressing the Renew your membership will take you to the Payment page.
What you see next will depend on your membership class. There are two options:
Option one Single member renewal page.
Option two Joint member renewal page.
The web pages are automatically generated by Beacon based on your current membership class. If your membership class has changed since you last renewed your membership, please contact the Membership Secretary who will alter your class so you can renew with your new membership class.
Option one Single member renewal.
If you are a Single Member you will see this page. Your renewal subscription will be shown for the class of membership you currently hold. If your membership class has NOT changed since last year please press the Make Payment button and you will be taken to the payment section. Please tick the Gift Aid box if applicable.
Option two Joint member renewal
If you are a Joint Member you will see this page. Your renewal subscription will be shown for the class of membership you currently hold. As a Joint Member you will be given the option to renew both memberships at the same time. Please follow the instructions on the Payment page.
Please tick the Gift Aid box if applicable.
If your membership class has NOT changed since last year please press the Make Payment button and you will be taken to the payment section.
Note: As noted above, if your membership class has changed since you last renewed your membership please contact the Membership Secretary who will alter your class so you can renew with your new membership class.
Once you have pressed on the Make Payment button you will see the following page Transferring to PayPal please wait. You do not have to do anything once you see this page. You will automatically be taken to the PayPal page so you can make a payment.

You have TWO options to make a payment:
Option one Make a payment via a PayPal account by completing the Email address and Password and then pressing Log In.
Option two If you do not have a PayPal account by press the Check Out as a Guest button and you will be taken to a page where you can make a payment using your debit/credit card.
Note: There is NO charge for using a credit card. Beacon DOES NOT hold any card details. All private and confidential financial details are held by PayPal.
Once you have made you payment you will automatically be sent an email by PayPal to confirm your payment.
Fairford and District U3A will also send you an automatic email to confirm your membership renewal.
