Venue: We meet at my home in Hannington Wick; contact Susan for details

The focus of the group at first was on historical documents, wills, parish records etc., but there has now been a shift towards mediaeval literature and classical Latin. Members often bring their own pieces which they have found interesting – or baffling! – so the agenda is quite varied.

The experience of the group ranges widely from almost beginners to some who have reached A Level standard at school, so translating tends to be a cooperative effort. Members bring a great variety of related expertise in History, Literature, other foreign languages, the liturgy and so on, which is a great help and adds much of interest to our meetings.

Tea/coffee and biscuits are provided, for which a small donation is requested.

For more information, please call me; I will be happy to tell you more and welcome you to a Group meeting if this introduction is of interest to you.
