Meetings: Mondays at 11:00am, dates agreed by the group from one meeting to the next.

Venues: contact Rosemary.

This longstanding, friendly group aims to help members brush up O level French, hopefully improving fluency and pronunciation.  Our meetings are always great fun.

We meet on Mondays at 11am at the home of group leader Rosemary Westlake, fixing dates from one meeting to the next.  Please contact Rosemary for more information.

If you are not sure which is the right level for you, try both groups and then decide!

Meetings: Every Monday at 11.00am.
Venue: Members houses in Fairford.

The Group meets  throughout the year, from 11am to 12 noon, usually at a Group member’s  home in Fairford.  We split on an adhoc basis into at least 2 groups of about 6 members so that everyone gets a chance to contribute.

Our focus is on conversational French, and therefore members need to be able to manage fairly simple conversations without too much difficulty. That said, we all have our “off” days, and so we are very patient and helpful with each other!

We start by reading a couple of pages from "La Vie Outre Manche", a magazine published for groups like ours, addressing life in France and subjects of general interest. Annual subscriptions cost about 32 for six issues. We then discuss matters arising from our reading and usually allow the conversation to flow on to anything else that takes our fancy!

We pay 20p pw to our host for tea/coffee.
